Imagine Peace, get the T-shirt and help fight AIDS

Yoko Ono, Cyndi Lauper, NERD and many more lovely slebs have designed some splendid T-shirts for this year’s Fashion Against AIDS collection - and they go on sale at H&M this Thursday!

This is what it said on the site of lovely Yoko Ono (yes, we love her. OK? Good): “PROTECTION IS POWER” reads the print from RÓISÍN MURPHY across a T-shirt, wrapped around the front and back of a body, while N.E.R.D uses a clever graphic to shout out “USE YOUR BRAIN” on coloured vests and T-shirts. ESTELLE’s contribution has the slogan “LIFE IS TOO SHORT - HAVE SEX BE SAFE” printed on a vest next to a sassy silhouette of an empowered woman, while KATY PERRY’s clever safe sex message is “IT’S WHAT’S ON THE OUTSIDE THAT COUNTS” on both a body and a cap-sleeved Tee. CYNDI LAUPER’s 80’s feeling design has the words “GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE SAFE SEX” as if scribbled in pink lipstick on a black vest, while YOKO ONO repeats the words “IMAGINE PEACE” in languages from around the world on coloured T-shirts. ROBYN’s feisty statement is “Protect your body” on a T-shirt with printed diamonds, while DITA VON TEESE, already a champion of AIDS causes, offers an alluring image of her iconic red lips and arched brow on a cute cap-sleeved Tee.

One of our favourite art installations of Yoko Ono's was when she had a great big map of the world and invited people to write 'Peace' on a piece of paper and stick it on an area of the world which would benefit from it most.

We like that. So. Hooray.

Love, Love, Love....

We're not really a big bunch of cynical old cynics, you see. Apparently love is the most important thing to us Brits, over dosh, nice cars etc...

In fact, in a survey from dating website fish4love out today, 71% said the most important thing in life is having someone special to share it with. Aw.

Only 20% said having a great job was their highest priority, while 5% put lovely holidays first, 3% would prefer a beautiful home and just 1% put having a nice car at the top of their list.

Lisa Walker, Marketing Director for fish4love said “In the current economic climate you may have expected people to put their material needs first. It’s reassuring to see that love is still the most important thing for so many people."

Running for cheeriness!

Our wondrous and very inspiring friend Ee Lynn Teo recently completed the Paris Marathon, and her aim was not to collect money, but happy stories - 'One more chapter completed in my pursuit for happiness!' she said.

Here is a great piccie of Ee Lynn in Paris (we also had one of her in her medal after completing the marathon but we couldn't get it to go the right way up). She is planning to run more marathons for the highly worthy cause of good cheer, so if you have any happy stories you wish to sponsor Ee Lynn with, get in touch with us!

A cheery quote

Seeking happiness outside ourselves is like waiting for sunshine in a cave facing north.
